Best known for portraying Fara Sherazi on Homeland and for playing the female lead of Esther in the remake of Ben-Hur for MGM and Paramount Pictures, Nazanin Boniadi is an acclaimed Iranian actress who is also very much devoted to the promotion of human welfare and the advancement of social reforms. As an award-winning human rights activist, Boniadi has served as a spokesperson for Amnesty International USA from 2009 until 2015, and currently serves on the board of directors of The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.
