Meryl Streep is a concerned mother who worries about the impact of bad environmental practices on the lives of children. In 1989, she started an organization called Mothers and Others with her Connecticut neighbors, in order to combat this problem. The organization was described as a national non profit consumer education and advocacy organization seeking to effect lasting protection of chidren’s health and the environment. Meryl Streep remains very involved in educating others on the environmental issues of concern to our planet and to our children.
