Activism bio (charitable work)

Ed Begley, Jr. is so active on behalf of environmental causes and educating the public on their importance, that he is now better known for his environmental activism than he is for his acting.

He speaks about how environmental stewardship has to begin with individual action, and he's a perfect role model. He owns an electric car and uses a bus pass and a bicycle whenever possible. His home has been shown as a proto type of environmental construction on news programs and he presently serves on the boards of The Walden Woods Project; The Environmental Media Association; Earth Communications Office; and Environmental Research Foundation in Washington, DC.

His official web site places great attention on environmental issues, as well. In fact, when you click to contact him, you are provided with a long list of subjects, from vegetarianism to animal rights to ecotourism to solar energy to wildlife preservation and more.

You can also submit an activist actor or director.
